Barack Obama lays waste to John McCain and his inability to name how many homes he owns.Politico is reporting that Obama is really going to town on this latest McCain gaffe. (When asked, McCain couldn't tell a Politico reporter how many homes he owns). According to Jonathan Martin:Governors, members of Congress and state legislators will hold conference calls and press conferences in front of homes to draw attention to the issue. From Jonathan Martin:"Book" depicts a faux volume called "Economics by John McCain" — "foreword by George W. Bush" — but surprisingly makes no mention of McCain's now-infamous statement during the primary that economics is not his strong suit. Perhaps they're saving that bullet. Note the garish sport coat and tie they portary McCain as wearing — he looks like either a cliched used-car salesman or some sort of '70s-era conventioneer in Vegas.

Barack Obama spoke today at the League of United Latin American Citizens in Washington, DC. Both he and John McCain had major policy speeches to Latin American groups. I'd post video of McCain's speech, but so far I have not found any. That's one thing his campaign is pretty bad at doing. They don't turn around video of his speeches very fast. At any rate, here's a synopsis from MSNBC:Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama pitched competing economic plans to Hispanics on Tuesday, the second ti

An eventful day for Barack Obama as he tried to take on John McCain on economics. From Reuters:In a speech to reporters after mechanical trouble forced his plane to make an unscheduled stop in St. Louis, Obama called for a $50 billion stimulus package to fight foreclosures and offset high energy prices. He said he would tighten rules for credit card companies and relax bankruptcy laws to help those struggling with debt.Obama, a Democrat, said Republican McCain, like unpopular President George W. Bush, woul

Another slick ad from the McCain camp touting the "Country First" slogan. It states McCain's plan to balance the budget by the year 2013.
